  • Purchasing Department Function
    The EMS ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Purchasing Department is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services, construction, contracted and professional services requested by the district's schools and departments consistent with state and federal law, school board policies and sound business practices.
     
    The EMS ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Purchasing Department has received the TASBO Award of Merit for Purchasing and Operations with Recognized Status annually since 2010. EMS ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ was also honored with the highest recognition, the Elite Award.
     
    The award is provided to School ²ÝÁñÊÓƵs and Education Service Centers statewide that are committed to following professional standards in the acquisition of goods and services. 
     
    In determining the Award of Merit designees, TASBO reviewed various procedures and practices including organization, policies & procedures, contract operations, staff training and certification, p-card systems (if applicable), warehousing, use of technology, communication, and management of co-operative programs. 
     
    The Elite status reflects the district's highest-ranking among all district Award of Merit applications.
